Description
Kokedama is an old artform of flora design originating out of Japan over 500 years ago. It is often referred to as the poor man’s bonsai. Instead of a pot, moss is used as a container for planting. The focus for this upcoming workshop will be on utilizing succulents to create a living piece of art.
Join us at The Farm at South Mountain to make a one of a kind Kokedama. The class includes all the materials to make two kokedama to take away (perfect for gifts/birthdays). Participants will have the option to create hanging ‘string gardens’ and/or pairing with a piece of slate/stone for the base. Care and maintenance will also be covered in the class.
Note: you may have too much fun playing in the dirt with family and friends, so please dress accordingly (or bring an apron).
